30A – Final Reflection

Image
After reading through my posts this semester, I recalled many experiences along the way a nd being able to look back and see the progressive is extremely  interesting. I also saw a bunch of assignments that I thought where really fun and exciting. What sticks out to me thats the most formative experience was defiantly the elevator pitch, I thought that was a really cool assignment and I would remember it in a couple of years.  I definitely think I have more of a entrepreneurship mind set At the beginning of the semester. I can see myself as a entrepreneurship because I have thought of many ideas and different ways to approach it and make money. One recommendations I would make to students who are going to journey down is to always keep a open mind and new ideas to succeed in different ways.

Due to the amount of students attending University of Florida the need to increase the amount of student parking is rising greatly. The environment changed and created this opportunity because more people started attending the school.  This market is University of Florida students who live in Gainesville and own a vehicle.  Customers needs are not satisfied, there are not enough parking garages in Gainesville or around campus and parking is usually expensive. I think this opportunity is really big because I think people are always struggling to find parking and this will allow the students needs to be satisfied. I am not sure how long the “window of opportunity” will be open I guess it will be open until someone else steps up and builds a parking garage that has student discount rates. My product is a discount parking garage for University of Florida students. It works by you get placard and use it to get into the garage.  If you are going away for a month, studying ab...

28A – Your Exit Strategy

1)  If a someone is willing to buy my business I would for sure sell it for a lot of money.  I intend of having a piece of the business to receive revenue but I don't think that I would stay with the business for several decades. I could stick with the business for a couple of years and then ive it off to my children and make it a family business. 2) I would most likely sell it and ask for annual pay because after putting so much hard work into it I feel like  I would be over it and hand the responsibility over to someone else and just get money for creating it, and move onto my next project. 3) I don't think it had an influence on my other decisions I made because I never really thought about it until now. Either way if I was gonna keep it or give it up I would still work just as hard on it now.

27A – Reading Reflection No. 3

Coco Chanel, Lisa Chaney 1) What surprised me the most was that Chanel survived a childhood of deprivation and neglect and she enabled herself to become one of the most powerful woman in the country. I admire Chanel for her commitment, character, intelligence and immigration, if she didn't have those characteristics she wouldn't make it to where she is now.  I least admire that Chanel was resistant to marriage and wouldn't let anyone in. She also had a love affair with one of Europe's most eligible men, a playboy. The entrepreneur encountered failure she was using drugs and was not keeping up with her work. She had her first failure in 1954 when she returned from war and became a world class couturier. 2)It seem as if the entrepreneurs rough childhood played a role in how she acted later in life, she was a bisexaul, aused drugs and has love affairs.  She  had this inviolability wall of self protection raised up over the  years that few were able to reach her....

26A – Celebrating Failure

1) I have failed many times in my life and have used this as a way to build my confidence and not to give up. A time in my life when I failed was when I was taking my financial accounting quiz.  We are allowed to take these quizzes three times and every single time I thought I was going to do well and I ended up getting the same grade. I failed all 3 attempts at taking this quiz. 2)  I learned that it's okay to lose your footing sometimes and fail, it allows you to grow as a person and better yourself all around. Not everyone is good at everything and failure helps you see that in order to get what you want in life you have to get back up on your feet and keep trying. 3) Failure is hard, it takes away from you for a couple of hours and it's hard to take your mind off, but instead of using this as negative energy, use it as fuel to motivate you to do better next time. Emotionally it was hard not to doubt myself I was self conscious that I was stupid for a while when my fr...

25A – What’s Next?

The next step for my product to come to life is to build it. First interview I spoke to a senior at the University of Florida who lives behind mid who has a car and uses a parking garage downtown to store his car for the year. He said that the parking was too expensive at his apartment complex and he couldn't afford it. After searching for other options he was pleasantly surprised that there was a semi cheap parking garage downtown. This was his best option however he said that it is a inconvenience to have his car so far. It's a long walk to get it and he usually will call a Uber to get it which is another expense. He believes that parking on campus is a really big issue and stated that there really isn't a convenient place to park your car its either really expensive or far. Second interview I spoke to a freshman at the University of Florida who lives in a dorm, has a car and uses street parking. After speaking to her I found out that she brought her car down her...
