Economic Trend 1-  G.D.P. Report Shows U.S. Economy Off to Slow Start in 2017

I found this article on New York Times. After reading this article I believe an opportunity exists because Americans say they feel more optimistic about the economy since President Trump was elected but actions are completely opposite. Consumers have been pulling back on their spending reducing the economy’s quarterly growth to its lowest level in three years. Through eight years of a tepid recovery, the promise of stronger economic growth has been continued but not yet fulfilled.

I think that all middle class americans are the customers with the opportunity. This specific opportunity is difficult to exploit because people's livelihoods are at stake and people wouldn't really risk their money without knowing that it is going to directly benefit them.

I believe I saw this opportunity because this could have a big impact on our future and our economy now. Even though americans think they feel comfortable with the economic aspect of their life because trump is a businessman it's clear that people are not spending their money and if they don't start  the economy will crash. In addition, Trump administration’s arguments that big tax cuts and regulatory rollbacks are necessary for the economy to grow the way it did in the 1980s and 1990s.

Economic Trend 2- Detroit Real Estate Heats Up

There has been a recent improvement  in detroit's real estate. Detroit is known to have blocks of foreclosed and abandoned homes.  The source of information that led me to form a belief about this opportunity was that Detroit moved up from eighth place in July, after shifting between sixth and 25th place in the last 12 months.  This lead me to believe there was an opportunity because if your occupation is real estate detroit seems to be a hotspot considering all of the houses are probably cheap and in need of renovation. I think the opportunity is relatively easy to exploit because once one real estate agency obtains knowledge about the cheap land there will be competition followed immediately after.

I saw this opportunity as because I am into real estate and I know that  places like Detroit and other economic deprived areas it is always beneficial for real estate agencies to go in there and start buying and renovating and redecorating these properties to make the neighborhood more attractive and inviting to those of a higher class and can maintain the cleanliness of the area.  

Regulatory Change 1- Trump Has Always Backed Amnesty, White House Says

I found this source when I googled regulatory changes. The source of information that led me to believe this was an opportunity was after trump advocated his strong beliefs against illegal immigrants he stated “Our message to the world will be this: you cannot obtain legal status, or become a citizen of the United States, by illegally entering our country,”. Last week President Trump announced that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) amnesty program will be rescinded in six months and that Congress has until then to “legalize DACA,” which protects roughly 800,000 illegal immigrants from deportation. I think that the customer of this opportunity is all those immigrants who left their lives behind to start a new life who were devastated when they were being aborted but now relieved that they can stay in america to try and pursue their dreams. This opportunity is relatively easy for trump because he does not know what it's like to be in the position of someone who works as hard as a immigrant does.

I think this is a really big opportunity for illegal immigrants because they now have a future here in america and don't have to hide and work hard hours and manual work. I personally know immigrants who came here with nothing and now are living a very comfortable lifestyle. This just shows immigrants have an opportunity to make something of themselves if they never give up their dreams.   

Regulatory Change 2- Rick Scott issued emergency rules for health care facilities following Hollywood nursing home tragedy

I found this opportunity on Tampa Bay times and I belief this is a opportunity because Florida Governor Rick Scott issued a mandate for All assisted living facilities (ALFs) and nursing homes that they must obtain ample resources, including a generator and the appropriate amount of fuel, to sustain operations and maintain comfortable temperatures for at least 96-hours following a power outage. I think that companies who supply generators and fuel are the prototypical customer because now that this is a new law it is mandatory for these items to be bought ultimately benefiting their business. I think this opportunity is relatively easy because it is not that hard or expensive to get these items.

I believe this opportunity exists because I have relatives in nursing homes and hearing that 8 people died in this nursing home is truly heartbreaking and disappointing. This is a place that is trusted and people are supposed to feel safe and it is not safe. This should be used as an example and the government should be shunned for not preparing innocent and helpless people more.
