10A – Elevator Pitch No. 1

Bug list 

1. For the past two years parking in gainesville is very difficult. It usually takes 20 minutes to find a spot and it would take the same amount of time if you walked in the first place.

• There are too many people with cars that don't use them and keep their cars parked overnight. There also isn't enough parking for the amount of people that live here.

2. Traffic on University ave is always backed up with cars if majority of the students on campus have scooters there should be a section of the road blocked off for scooters only.

• This exists because Gainesville is a college town and there are a lot of students trying to get places in cars  but scooters are a more efficient and faster way to get around.

3. It should be mandatory for every State to be sprayed with the chemical that kills mosquitoes that carry diseases.

• This bug exists because people are obtaining deadly diseases from these insects and there are certain states that get sprayed to reduce the amount of mosquitoes.

4. Bars in midtown are always extremely crowded and causes over population in specific places. We need more spacious bars and restaurants so people don't have to be on top of each other when they go out.

• This bug exists because there is a good amount of people under 21 and not all bars are 18 + so people who are underage tend to go to a more crowded place.

5. A couple blocks away from sorority row and directly across from student housing is a halfway house with certified rapist living there.

• I'm not sure why this bug exists because there are rules that restrain certified rapists from coming in a certain distance of a school.

6. The new iphones 7 charger cable/headphone cord is very inconvenient it is very small and easy to lose if you are just carrying it around.

• This definitely exists because apple is trying to make more money because you have to buy a seperate cable in order  to listen to music in addition it is very easy to loose so they probably did this on purpose to gain money.

7. When you get locked out of apartment buildings here they charge you a decent amount of money to come and open the door.

• This personally happened to me and I was shocked but this bug exists because it is a inconvenience or safety hazard for workers to come up open the door.

8. Bouncers at bars change the price randomly for cover for people depending on if they have their student IDs.

• This happens because bouncers can get away with anything when there are people trying to go out. They pick out specific people that they know would pay.

9. When expensive brands like wildfox design their clothing so that the softer part of the fabric is on the outside.

• The bug exists because the company wants to promote a more aesthetically pleasing look rather than thinking about the actual comfort of the clothes.

10. In the building the standard  the bathrooms the air filter and the light are combined into one so when you turn on the light it is really noisey.

• This bug exists because the standard was trying to save money and combining the two light switches into one.

11. It is difficult hard to meet with a business advisor in the beginning or end of the school year, the wait is usually over 2 hours for a 5 minute meeting.

• This happens because students wait till the last minute or want to clear things up to make sure they are set for the semester.

12. Double sided tape isn't that sticky and does not hold for long periods of time.

• This bug probably exists because companies are too cheap to make good tape and want you to buy more so they lower the quality.

13. Being stuck at red lights in gainesville because the lights are so long.

• Not exactly sure why this exists but its a problem and very inconvenient

14. When you order things online and when they are delivered they are completely different from the picture.

• This bug exists because people are selfish and want to make money and sell things that are cheaper and advertise things that don't live up to the quality of the pictures.

15. The iphone screen is very fragile and you drop it once it could completely crack and block your vision to the screen.

• I think this exists because again apple knows that people are going to be breaking their screens really frequently and they will have no choice but to live with a broken screen or get it fixed.

16. Lifeproof cases are advertised as being waterproof and they aren't fully waterproof just water resistant.

• Again this bug exists because it is false advertising this company is trying to sell a product and don't care about the customer satisfaction.

17. When rooms are really cold it makes me feel uncomfortable because I start to shiver and it is just not pleasant.

• This bug occurs because some people prefer to be cold while others prefer to be hot, it's a personal choice.

18. The fact that UF band practices on norman field there are so many sorority girls living very close to there and it is so loud.

• The only thing I can think of as to why this bug exists is because they want the sorority girls to hear the band and how good they are or there are no other fields available that could fit the whole band to practice.

19. When people decide not to get new shoes or clean their shoes and their feet smell really bad.

• This bug occurs when people don't take care of their body it's a person hygiene issue or people can't afford new shoes.

20. When you go to the bathroom and there is no toilet paper.

• This bug exists because some people weren't taught the correct manners to refill something if you use it all.

3) I had many challenges while coming up with this list. I thought it was difficult to see things from a different perspective and to analyze your life and be able to point out things that stand out to you and affect your life. I also found it difficult when having to write about why do these bugs occur in general rather than why do they personally bug you.
