11A – Idea Napkin No. 1
My name is Natalie Belluccia and I am a sophomore here at the University of Florida. My talents include organization, writing and 3D printing. My past experiences include selling 3D printed phone cases in high school and I also worked the books in my moms business, I did things like quickbooks, pay the bills and cash out checks. My aspirations are to allow gainesville to have an easier option for parking. I think that this business would play a great roll in my life.
I believe that if I am able to build a parking garage on campus that allows students to park year round for a cheap price it would greatly benefit a lot of students. This will solve customes unmet needs because many students struggle with finding parking spots around campus and spend a lot of time driving around looking for parking that just isn't there.
My customers all live in Gainesville and I am offering this product to all of the students of University of Florida. As a student myself I know how difficult it is to find parking around campus. After taking many surveys and discussing this issue with my peers Ive concluded that they all have a hard time finding parking. Therefore students need a cheap and easy assessable parking garage to store their cars.
My product is different from the rest because there are limited parking garages on campus. My product is going be large enough to accommodate up to 600 cars and for a very cheap price of only $200. There are parking garages downtown where you can leave your car for the year but they are very expensive. My product is overall cheaper, bigger and more convenient for many students.
I believe these concepts fit together because there is limited parking around campus and many students share the need to park their car on campus. I am not sure how I am going to come up with all this money to build this massive building.
Natalie,
ReplyDeleteI agree that there needs to be optimal parking locations for all students and residents for the UF campus. If each person needs to pay $200 dollars for a full year, what is the required estimate for the time it will take to clear all debt from the construction and maintenance. Overall I think that this is a well designed plan to aid students parking on the UF campus.
Hey Natalie,
ReplyDeleteI'm going off of what Marshall said. I love the concept of better priced parking for multiple college students, but am also wondering how long it will take to pay off the expenses of building and maintaining the structure. I was also wondering what exactly the students are paying for: the parking space itself, or a decal? I feel that decals would be more beneficial so that every space is being used at once. If a student pays for the space but doesn't use it all the time, another student can pay to use it- which is potentially $400 for one parking slot! Thank you for sharing your idea and I would love to see this concept applied in the future!
